Cloud pricing

What Maude Cloud costs, what a project includes, what you also need to buy elsewhere, and what happens to your money when something goes wrong.

The prices

Pricing is per project, never per seat. The invitation is the product's core action, so charging for it would tax the thing the product is for — invite as many people as the project needs.

Cloud ProjectDedicated

Annual€190 — two months freemonthly only
Included media storage10 GB100 GB

Pinned instance, region pinning
Custom domain, priority support

Extra storage is €5 per 50 GB block per month. All prices are in euros. The provider is not currently registered for VAT in the Czech Republic, so no VAT is added to the price you see — what is quoted is what is charged. If that changes you will be told at checkout, before you pay.

The first 14 days are free. Your card is authorised but not charged, and you can stop any time before the trial ends. We also do not charge for a project that failed to come up: if provisioning does not finish, the authorisation is released — that ordering is enforced in code, not by intention.

What you also need, which we do not sell you

Being told this after entering a card would be a bad way to find out, so:

  • a desktop computer — macOS or Windows, not a phone or a tablet;
  • the free Maude desktop app (maude.sh/desktop);
  • for AI-assisted design, your own Claude subscription — about €20 a month, paid to Anthropic on their terms. We do not resell it and receive no part of it.

That third item is also the reason your work stays private: Maude Cloud stores, syncs and versions your project, but your designs are only ever rendered on your own machine. The mechanism behind that claim is on the Trust page.

What happens when you stop paying

Nothing sudden, and nothing silent.

  1. A failed payment leaves the project running while we retry and contact you.
  2. After the grace period it pauses. Pausing stops the workspace; it deletes nothing.
  3. A complete copy of your work is prepared and emailed to you before any teardown. The system cannot reach a deleted state except through that step.
  4. The data is kept 30 days after the pause. You are emailed again two days before it goes.
  5. Restarting at any point before that brings everything back — same address, same people.

You can download everything at any time, including while a project is paused, and you can delete a project yourself whenever you like. Deleting erases the stored data, including the copies prepared on the download page — so take the one you want first.

The free alternative

Maude is free forever to self-host, and it is the same software rather than a reduced edition: maude hub workspace-up stands up the identical stack on your own box, and the self-hosting cost table is published too.

That belongs on a pricing page rather than buried: a hosted service you cannot leave is a hosted service whose promises cannot be tested.
